Directions 2!
These are the directions to The Marriott, Leeds. For Directions to the Church, please see the page 'Directions 1!'.
Here is the best route in as much detail as possible...!
Via M62 and M621
* From the church, head past the Wynsors shoe shop and Aldi (on the left).
* At the roundabout, take the first exit.
* Go over the level crossing, and follow the road around. Pass the Cricket Pavilion on the left, and eventually a park on the left.
* At the roundabout, go straight on. Pass the rugby fields on the left, petrol station and Diggerland on the right.
* At the traffic lights (Rising Sun pub on the right), go straight on.
* At the roundabout, go straight on. Stay in the right-hand lane.
* Follow the road around, following signs to the M62 Westbound (Manchester).
* Join the Motorway (at junction 31).
* Exit at Junction 29, staying in the right hand lane - follow the road the M1 North/M621.
* Take the 3rd exit (following signs to the M1 North/M621.
* Join the M1 North/M621. Bear right off the slip road - check you're in the correct lane (signs above should say M621, Leeds City Centre).
* Speed Limit turns to 50mph.
* This bit of road is weird. Junction 4 has a slip road off, and the road goes to 2 lanes. Shortly after, another slip road joins to make it a 3 lane-road again. Bear left into this slip-road - exit at Junction 3 (signposted City Centre, Holbeck).
* Be careful with the steep bend to the left!
* The road bears left, and another lane joins from the right.
* Follow the road around, following road signs to the City Centre.
* Remain in the left lane (not the bus lane).
* The road bears right up a hill. Remain in the left lane.
* At the traffic lights, go straight on, following signs to the City.
* Stay in the left lane.
* Eventually, another lane will 'appear' on the left, just near Bridgewater Place (new grey and glass building. DON'T TURN INTO IT! Stay in the middle lane.
* You should now be able to see the ASDA building ahead. As the two lanes to your right bear right, you go straight on to the next traffic lights, so the ASDA building is on the right.
* Go straight through the lights, then filter into the right lane (KPMG building on the right). At the traffic lights, turn right into Sovereign Street, after the KPMG building. If you get into the bridge, you've gone too far!
* Follow the road as it bears to the left, past the Queens Car-park (don't park here, it closes at 8pm).
* At the end, turn left onto the one way street, and then ALMOST IMMEDIATELY right into the Boar Lane NCP car-park.
There is also a Q-Park multi-story on the right, pretty much opposite the NCP. Unlikely, if this is full by any chance, turn out of the NCP/Q-Park back onto the one-way, then follow the signs to alternative car-parks. Just check they're 24 hours...!
