Hayley & David
About Hayley
Hayley was born in Leeds on 9th November 1983, which makes her a grand total of 24 years old. She stayed in God's own county and, after doing the whole University thing, she now works as a primary school teacher, which involves merely playing in the sand pit, doing hopskotch, colouring, making cakes and generally having fun, doing no serious work at all.
About David
David was born in Beckenham, London, on 23rd July 1985, which makes him Hayley's toy-boy. In order to avoid the police, he moved around the UK finally settling in Leeds, where he met Hayley. Here he stayed, and went on to study for his degree. He works within the leisure industry, which consists of him pretending to be very busy by walking quickly around the building with a large bunch of keys and a walkie-talkie, and bossing other staff members around.
How They Met
David and Hayley met through mutual friends. They had known each other from a distance since 1998 but after many awkward silences and long, lingering glances, they finally got together during YSCA (music summer school) on 13th August 2001. They have Libbie Chiverton (see 'Wedding Party' page) to thank for this!

The Proposal
After (wisely!) asking permission from both of Hayley's parents, David got down on one knee during a professional photo session on 28th November 2006, with Hayley not suspecting a thing. Romantic as ever, her reply was, 'Are you serious?!'.
